SDHSAA One-Acts Designs
These are the designs I created for the 2024 South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) One-Act Play Festival. Each of these were designed to be printed out as an iron-on transfer and placed onto whichever garment the customer desires.
For the main logos, I wanted to capture a 1930s “Golden Age of Hollywood” style while also keeping it fun and modern. The art deco design is inspired by buildings of the same style that I have often seen in New York City, such as the Radio City Music Hall. The design with the trees was made to show a little more of the state spirit with the pine trees and the still water. Lastly, and my personal favorite, is the sparkle design. I wanted to use a more trendy design style, using a fun 70s inspired font and a current but timeless shade of basil green.
This project was especially exciting for me because I participated in the One-Acts in my high school years. I participated in the costume design competition and won a Superior award both years I went to this event. It’s funny how life can sometimes circle back onto itself sometimes…
